Biology 2 Classes Hard at Work

Kate BindusThe Biology two classes have been on their annual seining trips. The two classes have so far traveled to Bridge Creek and Chagrin River catching many different creatures. They have caught many different types of fishing, for example Silversides, Rainbow Darters, and White Suckers. The class has also caught many macro-invertebrates, like Mayfly Nymphs, Water Pennies, and Damselflies. "Seining is really fun. I love it! But I always come back to the school soaked," said Lili Fikter. The next day after every seining adventure the class goes to work at identifying all the different types of fish and invertebrates, then calculating the water quality of the river. The class has two more seining trips to go, on September 27th and 30th. The class is hoping to catch many more interesting fish.
