Mr. Continenza is a rather well-known teacher here at Kenston High School. Mr. Continenza started teaching at Kenston in 1996 as a full time math teacher. It was in the year 2000 that Mr. C. was asked to start teaching a Web Design class. He went back to college and received a Masters Degree in Educational Technology at Cleveland State University.
What we all don't know about Mr. C. is what he wanted to be when he was younger. "I had a dream of retiring at the age of 30. My brother and I had a goal of opening up a restaurant; he would run the front of the house and I would be the chef. I decided to become a teacher instead, and my brother opened up the restaurant," Mr. C. said. A few years ago his brother did retire, and is currently living in South Carolina. "Someone once said, if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life," Mr. C. said happily.
One of Mr. C.’s biggest accomplishments is the Kenston Website. "I love what I do for the website and what it does for our community. The best part is watching KHS students grow. I love senior nights, and the photos from freshman to senior year," Mr. C. said.
I have had the pleasure of having Mr. Continenza as a teacher for this semester. He is an excellent teacher and person. We are lucky to have him here at Kenston and hope he is here for many, many years to come! Mr. C. said, "Thanks AJ, but don't worry. I just met with a retirement advisor. I'll still be here when your kids are here."
