Kenston Baseball is now state ranked for the seventh year in a row! The Bombers are ranked 6th in Division II. Thursday April 17, 2008, the Kenston Varsity Baseball team defeated Mentor for the first time in our schools history! The team was led by Eric Ford who hit a grand slam in the first inning and Nick McCreary who pitched seven strong innings for the Bombers. The final score of the game was 9-2, making the baseball teams record 8-1 with there seventh consecutive victory.
The boys also defeated Maple Heights Saturday April 19, winning 12-2 and 14-2 in a double header. The Bombers current record is 10-2 and 2-1 in the CVC due to an upsetting loss against Aurora this past Tuesday. The boys were scheduled to play Aurora the 20th of April at Progressive Field, but due to bad weather the game is postponed until May 18. Be sure to come support the boys as they take on Walsh Jesuit tomorrow April 25th!
