A new era of tennis has begun under the new head coach, Dale Israelson. They have many new goals for the season, but their main goal is to win the CVC Title and to get as far as they can in the Coach's Tournament. "We hope to represent Kenston well by bringing the CVC Championship home this year," said Eric Shickler. They believe they have a good chance of accomplishing this under their senior leadership and new underclassmen players. The senior leadership will consist of Jimmy Swanson, Eric Schickler, Tim Model, Chris Sprecher, Justin Stenger, and Chris Rozman. There have been much more players coming out for the team, who aren't necessarily freshman. "The second year in a row we have had new players who aren't freshman, looking to be big contributors to the team," states Jimmy Swanson, four year varsity player. This year's team has a lot of depth and should result in outstanding results against all their opponents. This great new group hopes to get further then last year (third place in the CVC).
Another goal the tennis team is hoping for is a greater turnout in fans for their matches. They would really love some more Kenston support. Overall, the boy's are really excited for the season and wish to bring yet another championship to Kenston.
