The Kenston Volleyball Team has improved their undefeated record to 16-0 overall and 9-0 in the CVC. Throughout this season many of their wins have been some of their most difficult matches yet. "I really do feel like this is the year for our Lady Bombers," Ben Herbert said after watching a number of volleyball matches. The team has won the ever-so exciting Rocky River Tournament for the first time in many years against Division I school, Elyria. This was a great accomplishment for the team. Also at this tournament three of the Kenston players were named to the All-Tournament Team: Jen Braun, Lauren Landsman and Megan Wendel.
Another highlight of their season has been their spectacular match versus Beaumont. Last year Beaumont beat Kenston volleyball in five hard fought games, but this year, Kenston prevailed through a tough four game match. After several tough wins, Jess Ferguson said, "I am so proud of everyone on the team. Every girl has made an impact on the way we play and practice, we all work very hard." So far the girls' hard work and determination seems to be paying off, but everyday the team must improve their skills and strategy to stay on top.
This week the girls will travel to Perry, play a home match against Orange and compete at the Eagle Invitational on Saturday. Please come show your support for the Kenston Bomber Volleyball team this week while they compete to keep their undefeated record.
