Fall sports are still going on but the Kenston hockey team is getting down to business by starting their captain's practices. The team practices every Sunday and Wednesday at their home ice The Pond. The team is training for this up coming season starting on November 1, vs. Kent Roosevelt. This year there are more players getting serious about playing for the team.
Junior Colton Deeter gave up football to become better at hockey by joining the u18 Cleveland Lumberjacks. Colton Deeter said, "The team is doing well and we hope to do well this upcoming season." He plays every week and travels to games every weekend. Junior Greg Revak is also playing on the Jacks with Colton. Kyle Weninger and Alec Mangan also play for the Jacks, but play for the second team. Kyle stated that, "We will hopefully beat the big teams this year and go even further in the playoffs."
