The Kenston Varsity and JV Baseball pitchers have begun practicing diligently for the upcoming season. Wind sprints, pickoff drills, batting practice, and ground ball fielding have been the main topic of the minds of most Kenston Baseball players every day since Monday, February 22. This season Varsity hopes to improve on last year's 10-13 (6-4 CVC) record, with some promising returning talent in the form of Pat Porter (Center Field), Eric Monroe (First Base), and Kyle Schmidtt (Catcher).
"In my estimation, this year presents a promising possibility that the Kenston Baseball team will triumph in ways unprecedented by recent years' sad attempts at state championships" said Austin Bailey. The Varsity boys hope to rally under new head coach Bob Ford, assisted by coach Paul Semall, in a playoff run that will surely be one for the record books.
