Matthew Dale Olson is a senior at Kenston High School and has been wrestling most of his life. On December 28th and 29th Kenston hosted the state’s second oldest tournament, the Kenston Invitational Tournament (K.I.T.). Matt Olson competed in the 170 lbs. weight class. Matthew went into his matches open mindedly and came out victorious. He placed first in the 170 lbs. weight class. It has taken him years of hard work and ambition to get where he is today.
Currently Matt is ranked 14th in Division I in the entire state of Ohio. I came across Matthew in the halls and asked him about his success so far and this is what he had to say, "I am very lucky to be blessed with this success, but it has not all been luck it has taken countless hours perfecting my techniques over the years to get where i am today." It is awesome to see a fellow student and friend succeed their senior year of high school. If you see this manly man in the hallway congratulate him and tell him to keep trying his best, let him know you are proud of him. Matt has many more matches to wrestle so go out and support Matt on his road to success.
