Kenston Invitational Tournament

Dennis DisantoThis past week Kenston High School hosted the 47th KIT. This tournament is the second oldest running tournament in all of Ohio. 29 teams from all over Ohio and Pennsylvania came in to win the team title. Every year the gym is loaded with people for two whole days. This year the team that won the Tournament was Perry High School. Second place went to Crestwood High School and third place went to Fairfield High school. Nate lewis, the 220lbs wrestler said, "I look forward to learning from my mistakes and getting better for the sectional tournament." The last time that Kenston won the KIT was in 2005; hopefully this changes in the next couple of years. There were 4 placers on the Bombers this year. Matt "Molson" Olson took first place at 170lbs, Seth Clingerman took third place at 285lbs, Mike Braun took second place at 195lbs, and Neil Roff took fifth at 138lbs. The Bombers have much room for improvement and we hope to see a KIT title in the next couple of years.
