Wrestling

Dennis DisantoThe wrestling team has not stopped working since the ending of the season in March. This summer there has been lifting just about every morning at 6 a.m. The lifting is monitored by the coaches. This year, there are a couple of changes for the Bombers. The Wrestling team is moving up to Division I because of the growing size of Kenston High School. Some say the competition in Division I is way more difficult then Division II. The wrestling team also has one more change. The change I am talking about is of course, the weight class change. This change is the most significant change in weight class since 1988. There are new weights for 10 of the 14 weight classes. For example the lightest weight, which was 103 lbs, is now 106. Our Wrestling coach Mr. Murphy said, "The new weight classes are making wrestling even more of an independent sport, The Murph doesn't like." The Bombers will hopefully overcome these obstacles and have another successful year.
