Sophomore Michael Rengers singled home senior Bryan Pike in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Kenston a 3-2 victory over CVC rival Orange in tournament play. Senior starting pitcher Alex Wittenberg pitched a complete game over 8 innings, giving up 9 hits, 1 walk, and 1 earned run to earn his 6th win of the season for the Bombers (a Kenston school record). Junior Patrick Porter lead the Bombers at the plate, going 3-4, with a double and triple; Bryan Pike had 2 hits for the Bombers. Orange sophomore starter Justin Carbone pitched 7 innings, giving up 10 hits, 3 walks, and 3 earned runs, but suffered the loss. The Bombers improved to 14-11 with its 3rd victory over Orange this season; Orange dropped to 9-11.
