The close of the Fall Sports season comes with many successes for the Kenston Athletes and the Kenston Athletic Boosters, aka, KAB. KAB sold Spirit Wear from the Bomber Hangar at all home football games and provided food from the indoor concession stand for home volleyball games. We sponsored a Spirit Rally before the September 5th home football game and finished the home football season with a Fan Appreciation Night. We gave away almost 40 dozen donuts and loads of hot chocolate. The Night at the Races, our fall fundraiser, was sold out. Everyone at the event enjoyed the ambiance of the Centerville Mills dining hall on a beautiful fall evening. They spread their money around on Sideboards, Silent Auction items and Horse Bets (See the Athletic Boosters website for pictures). The event raised money for the Stadium Project, the sports that submitted Silent Auction items and the KAB general fund. KAB sponsored the Senior Athletes Pride Pictures placed at local stores -- see the KAB website for the picture location of your favorite Senior Athlete. We’d like to congratulate Jared Goodman and his family on winning the One-Year Family Membership to ELITE Fitness in Tanglewood.
THANKS to all the volunteers that helped at the Bomber Hangar, Indoor Concessions, Night at the Races, Pep Rally, Fan Appreciation Night, Senior Athlete Picture placement and the Fall Sports Program. We had over 40 people volunteer this fall season, a record number. The enthusiasm is building and the volunteers enjoy helping out as well as meeting new friends or spending time with old ones while they support our athletes. If you’d like to become a volunteer, please contact Bob Csuhran at 543-1437 or Tony Blatnik at 543-2218.
