MAYFIELD VILLAGE At the Mayfield Wildcats against Kenston Bombers swim meet on Saturday, it was a different kind of meet as both teams put swimmers in events in which they don't usually swim to get a gist of what their times might be as they gear up for the sectional meet in February.
Kenston assistant coach Amanda Boswell was proud of how her swimmers did, despite the events.
"I think overall they did pretty well, they got some personal records for themselves and there's room for improvement," Boswell said. "But, I am very happy with how they did."
Our swim team has definitley changed since last year. We started our season last Friday with a challenging practice. With our first meet coming up at the end of November, only a couple weeks from now, we need to practice hard and give 110% during workouts. This Thursday and Friday will determine your place on the team. Varsity is a position that you earn through hardwork. It won't be easy, but that is why practicing without stopping is so important.
