Canton Christmas Invitational

On December 13, the boys and girls swim teams sufferes a tough loss to Rocky River. We need to take this loss and learn from it and keep moving forward through the season. This Saturday, December 17, the qualifying Kenston swimmers will be competing in a huge meet in Canton Ohio. This meet is an invitational meet where the swimmers have had to qualify in their separate events to swim. There is going to be so many different teams and swimmers attending this meet, it's going to be intense. Freshman swimmer Sophie Kocheff said' "I am exited to spend Saturday with my team and I hope that everyone swims well. It's going to be a good time." The pool that we will be swimming at on Saturday is the same pool the State Tournament is held at each year for Ohio High School Swimming, so it is a real honor to get to compete in this pool. Getting to swim in such a nice pool will give all of our swimmers a chance to swim their best times for the season so everyone will be swimming all out during this meet. If you see any of the qualifying swimmers throughout the week wish them luck at the big meet on Saturday, December 17.

Victory At Perry!

Congrartulations to both the boys and girls swim team! We took our first victory on Saturday against Perry. We had a great meet overall and hopefully we will have many more. This was a great way to start off the season. Come cheer on the Bombers this Friday at Hiram against Aurora!

Schedule Changes!

Attention parents and swimmers! The meet at Kent Rosevelt is canceled! The meet was supposed to be held on December 6th. Also don't forget about the meet tomorrow at Hawken Upper School. The meet will start at 5 pm.

Market Day Pie Sales

All swimmers and divers are reminded that the Market Day Pie Sale Forms are to be picked up this Thursday, October 6th! They are due back to Coach Scheider by Thursday, October 20th! The hope is that each swimmer and diver will sell 10 or more pies, This will allow our Team to raise money to pay for meets, spirit wear, our end of the year banquet, and to purchase all of our much needed equipment.

Please try to sell as many pies as you can to reach the goal of at least 10 pies per swimmer. This is a very important fundraiser for our team, so make it count! Even if you do not reach the goal of 10 it is important for you to turn in your form. Informational Meeting

The Swim Team will be having a meeting on Thursday, October 6 from 7-8 p.m. in the Auburn-Bainbridge at Kenston High School. This will be an informational meeting for both parents and swimmers regarding the upcoming season. Athletic department forms and suit order forms will be handed out at the meeting, and there will also be sample suits which may be tried on for sizing.
