The Spanish Club dinner on Thursday, February 25, at Caballo Bayo was cancelled due to the inclement weather conditions. The restaurant outing to Caballo Bayo has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 11 at 6:30. Any interested members must turn in an updated waiver form with the updated information to Sra. Lake or Sra. Krejsa. In addition to restaurant outings, the club has many fun events, including entertaining homeroom meetings and interesting after-school events.
Some of the activities that the officers have planned for past meetings include playing "hot potato" while answering trivia questions, speed-dating to practice verbal communication skills on Valentine's Day, racing across the Atlantic on ships as Christopher Columbus' explorers, and listening to Spanish music like Juanes. We have also discussed current events such as the earthquake in Haiti. This year we had a fiesta after school to celebrate El Dia de los Muertos. As you can see, Spanish Club is a worthwhile, exciting club at Kenston High School, so don't miss the homeroom meetings or after-school events! Upcoming activities include a dancing lesson with a friend of Sra. Lake, playing "Matamoscas," and singing to Enrique Iglesias. Come to the next homeroom meeting on March 9 in the AB room!
