On August 6, 2007 the Web Design classroom door opened at 6 a.m., and closed for the night at 8 p.m. Students, teachers, and alumni came in shifts, setting up the main pages on our new website, eating, and having fun.
Special thanks to Jason Maxwell ('02), Terry Love ('05) and Danny Love ('06) for stopping by, seniors Nick Mele, Leah Dancie, Andrew Carter, Erik Barenwald, Pat Moore, Travis Newton, Jen Sulc, Lucas Read, John Behm, junior Matt Kleinstub, sophomores Greg Harriss and Justin Schultz, and to Mrs. Ganoe, Mrs. Subel, and Mr. Koltas. Without their help we would have never been able to launch the new site before school started.
Fun Fact: The last time we had an all-day Web Building Party was on December 4, 2001. On that day a group of 20 students helped convert our website to the then "new look" we just retired. Something was wrong with the heating system that day, and the temperature in the Web Classroom reached 98 degrees. On August 6, 2007, at 7 a.m. the temperature in the new Web Classroom was 85 degrees, and by late afternoon it was 98 degrees. Coincidence?
