Every year, the same disease sweeps over the senior class. Its symptoms bring out the worst in everyone, causing them to be extremely lazy and huge procrastinators. The disease is called Senioritis. Senioritis is caused by the lack of motivation. Junior year we all worked extremely hard with our Advanced Placement classes trying to look good for colleges. But now that we are done submitting our applications to universities, there really is no point in trying extra hard in class because all we need to do now is make sure we don't fail.
Last year an article was written about senioritis in late April-just a month before graduation. It's December and we still have more than half the year to go. "This is not good," said Kyle Weninger, "All I want is to graduate and move on to college, but I still have a couple months left here in high school." I think we all can agree that all we want is to graduate at this point. We have worked hard for almost 12 years now, and we just want it to end.
